Welcoming President and Sister Mangum and Saying goodbye July 1, 2014

President Peterson driving with President Mangum in the
the seat next to him as we are traveling to the mission home
after picking up he and his wife at the airport in Manila.

Sister Mangum took a picture of me as she and I were talking
in the back seat on our way to the mission home.

In the mission office with Ruby Baliwas, our former house
help and caterer for our Zone Conferences, her husband,
Bishop Baliwas who was also our night security watch for
the mission home, and our newer house help,

We lost our camera on the way home from our mission and I
missed getting pictures in the blog of our last Zone
Conference...among other things!  The Hansen's took a
few pictures of us getting goodbye hugs at the end of the
conference!  We love our missionaries!!

More hugs... :-)

A good-bye Haka from our Polynesians in the Mission!

Saying Good-bye to our dear friends, Ruby and
Bishop Baliwas!  They helped us so much!  We will never
forget them!  We love you!!

Say good-bye to our office staff!  Elder Bodkin (AP)
is next to me, Elder Talinoa (Office Elder), President about
to hug Elder Reynolds (Office Elder), and Elder Valdez
looking on and waiting for his good-bye!

President and Sister Mangum with us in front of the mission
office.  Bishop Baliwas looking on in the background.

Here we are, getting in the car to leave for the airport!  Elder
and Sister Hansen drove us!  It was so hard to say good-bye!

Transfer Week/Departing Missionaries April 20-22, 2014

Again, parting is such "sweet sorrow"!  We are always sad to have
missionaries leave, but are excited for their future endeavors!
Pictured here is Elder Viloria, Sister Banzali, President, Elder
Capulac, Me, Elder Inlayo, Sister Andersen and Elder Pablico.

It is always a bit of a chore getting luggage ready for the trip
home...especially those flying.  They can't go over a certain
weight and they often have to decide what to leave behind! :-(
Elder Capulac is sitting on the sofa, Sisters Malig and Banzali
are standing with Elders Pablico and Viloria squatting down with
their luggage, working hard!  Elder Inlayo with his famous pose!
In the background, you see Elder Boyd talking with his new
companion and fellow Assistant to President, Elder Valdez.
President and Sister Andersen are visiting in the far background.

The missionaries get to call home to make sure they are going to
be picked up at the airport or bus terminal.  Sister Andersen is
doing that in this picture.

Another angle of those missionaries working to get their stuff ready.

Elder Hansen is visiting with the office elders about this weeks
duties, etc. Elders Talanoa, Hansen, Reynolds and Ano-Os. Elder
Talanoa is being trained to take Elder Ano-Os' place in the office.
We will miss Elder Ano-Os!! He did a wonderful job and he is
always so happy and kind!

Sister Malig is going home early for a medical release.  She is
such a sweet sister!  We will miss her.  We hope she recovers
quickly!

General Conference April 12-13, 2014

We attended General Conference in San Pablo Stake Center on
Saturday and Sunday at Santa Cruz and Cabuyao stakes...

One of our returned missionaries showed up there with a girlfriend.
This is Elder (Brother) Biala!  We miss him! I know...his girlfriend
looks very young.  She's 21 and even prettier in person!
