Shopping experience...

This is a sign above the toilet in a bathroom stall in the public
restroom of the SM Department Store at the SM Mall in the
city of Lipa where Sister Packer and I were shopping!
"Only in the Philippines!" lol!

Siniloan Zone Interviews October 2012

SINILOAN ZONE

I feel really bad...We missed getting a picture of Elders Jones and
Capulac in Paete area apartment.  We went to their apartment
for interviews but forgot to take a picture with them!!!

This is the Paete apartment's kitchen.  That apartment is very
tiny, dark and musty!  We told them to look for another
apartment!  It doesn't look bad in pictures, but it is!

This is our sweet Sisters Agustin and Meti. They are hard working
missionaries and they take good care of their apartment in Pakil.

Here is the Pakil apartment kitchen...It would be nice to have
upper cabinets!

These are the Zone Leaders in the Siniloan 1 apartment,
Elders Basco and Libutti.  It is a nice big apartment and
it was nicely kept.

I took this picture while sitting on a sofa in the living room...

Here is their kitchen...

This is their dining room, which also has another kitchen counter
space in it!...

I couldn't resist taking a picture of this refrigerator magnet of
Elder Basco!  I love it!!  (...even thought it's blurry!)

We are with Elders Ah Wong and Navarro in the Siniloan 2
apartment.  It is a small apartment, but right by the church.  It
seems to be a nice safe area.

This is the small kitchen area in Siniloan 2 apartment...

Sisters Buduan and Narciso are a beautiful companionship.  They
are both so happy and just want to be good missionaries!

Here I am talking with the Sisters about their Area Books...

Here is the Pakil apartment kitchen. They improvise with
whatever they can to stay organized, even with no upper cabinets!

We  missed going to the Infanta area...President had already
interviewed them...Elder Tupou and Elder Johnson are there!

Cute Twin Boys

These twin boys were sitting in the frozen yogurt shop having their
own dish.  As I walked in to take the picture they stop eating and
just stared!  They kind of looked like they were ready to fall
asleep!  They were so cute!!

Lucena Zone Interviews. October 2012

LUCENA ZONE

We had a good time with Elders Rosario and Clark.in their
Pagbilao apartment in Lucena Zone. After finishing Lopez Zone in
the evening, we visited a couple of the apartments in Lucena Zone
which we were visiting the next day...Pagbilao and
Lucena 3 apartments.

This is Elder Kartchner and Elder Lahom in Lucena 3 apartment.
They were good sports to let us come the night before we were
expected to visit!  Elder Kartchner is training Elder Lahom and
doing a great job!

First thing Friday morning (7:30 a.m.), we visited the Lucena
Zone Leaders in Lucena 1 apartment.  Elder Nance and Elder
Naeata are hard working missionaries.

Elder Figuration just got transferred to Lucena 2 to finished
training Elder Bactad.  I am sure that is going to work out well.
They are both good missionaries with strong desires to serve well.

Sister Huni and Sister Salon are serving well in Barra.  Both
sisters are a sweet as can be!

Elders Collado and Cabacungan are enjoying their time serving in
Mauban.  They work well together!

These two sisters are always so happy and excited about their
service!  This is Sisters Snow and Calla!  Their apartment in
Tayabas is clean, organized and a cheerful place to be! Sister
Snow is training sister Calla.

This is Elders Waga and De Guia in Lucban. Don't you love Elder
Waga's smile?  Poor Elder De Guia wasn't feeling well that day!

This is Elders Hurst and Dela Rosa in Sariaya.  They have a nice
apartment and they keep it very clean and orderly.  Elder Hurst
shared his pistachios that his mother sent! Yum!

Even though the Assistants to the President are not in the pictures,
they are with us, doing a great job teaching a short workshop
to each of the missionaries individually.  I had to add this shot of
them in the Sariaya apartment!

Nice stairway in the Sariaya apartment...

...And this is their nice clean kitchen...

Pretty nice CR too!  A CR is a Comfort Room, which is
the Philippine name for bathroom or restroom.

This is Sisters Taobure and Pruden in Candelaria.  Sister Pruden
has been doing a wonderful job training Sister Taobure...Very
sweet sisters!  We are all kind of laughing in the picture because
President posed for the picture with a sucker in his mouth! :-)

This is Elders Abad and De Leon is their nice new apartment
in San Juan...

I was impressed with this nice clean and organized kitchen!

Lopez Zone Interviews, October 2012

LOPEZ ZONE

We are outside of the Antimonan apartment with Sister Roque
and Nabus right next to our new mission van.

We are in the Malinao area apartment with Elders Hansen and
Najorda.  Both of these elders are so kind and get along so well.

I had another picture, but decided to use this one because it shows
that we are having fun along the way!  This is Elders Kleinlein and
Sasagi in Gumaca.

This is Elders Pratt and Dait in Lopez 1 apartment.  It is a nice
place and it is connected to the Zone Leaders apartment.

Very nice kitchen in Lopez 1 apartment...I love how clean it is!
Great job, elders!

Here we are with the Zone Leaders, Elders Lacson and Yost, in
Lopez 2.  Like I said their apartment is connected to Lopez 1.
You can see the nice wood paneling on their walls behind us.
Both places have nice, refurbished kitchens!

Wow!  Very clean...very organized!  Thank you, Thank you,
elders!
Don't these two look happy? It has been such a blessing to be
able to visit every apartment to see how they are really doing!
This companionship resides in the Lopez 4 apartment...Elders
Rivera and Bandoy.

This is the Catanauan apartment and it is the farthest area in the
Lopez Zone. We are with Elders Delfin and Torres. Elder Torres
is going home this month.  He worked in the office for quite a
while and did a wonderful job! We will miss him!

CALAUAG APARTMENT

We felt bad, but were not able to visit the Calauag elders.  We
didn't have directions to their apartment and didn't realize they
had lost their phone, so we were not able to call for directions.
We will have to make up for it somehow!! :-( This apartment
is where Elder Sembrano is training Elder Boyd.

Siniloan Combined District/Zone Meeting October 2012

Okay...We really did have a meeting first...Just didn't get any
pictures in there!  Sister Gines fixed chicken taco filling and we
put them together in our heated flour tortillas with all the
trimmings...grated cheese, tomatoes and lettuce and she had
ranch dressing.  They all loved it!  She also had a delicious
corn dish with peppers, onions and bacon with it.  We also had
a cut up honeydew melon. Elder and Sister Gines are the couple
assigned to this zone and they love to spoil their missionaries!

This is Elder & Sister Gines enjoying the time with their
missionaries.  They love to show others a good time.  They said
that when they do these meals for them, it feels like home!  That
is what they did at home... They would make the food, invite
their family, and those that could come would just show up and
enjoy a meal as a family.  They love doing it!

The sisters in the zone are, from the left, Sisters Buduan, Narciso,
Meti and Agustin.  Sister Buduan is training Narciso and Sister
Meti is being by trained Sister Agustin.

From the left, we have Elders, Ah Wong, Figuration, Tupou,
Jones, Capulac, Navarro and Johnson!

This is the Zone Leaders, Elders Basco and Libutti...with Elder
Ah Wong getting in another picture! :-)

Having a little fun!

This was an interesting statue outside a TGI Fridays in Manila.
I got the Packers to pose with him.  We had lunch there after
taking Elder Ebuen to the MRC.

I thought this was a great shot of President having some time with
Elder Alvaro and giving wise counsel, I am sure!

Here we are with all the office staff after a fun afternoon of
bowling!  From the left, President, Me, Elder Packer, Elder
Delos Santo, Sister Packer, Elders Erye, Navarro and Brown.
I am sorry I didn't get any action shots...boring pose! We sure
had a nice time.
