original mission call in Tacloban.  We will sure miss him!

Elder Vaaka is also going back to Tacloban.  We are so grateful
to have had them for a while.  They were a great addition to our
mission, while it lasted. :-)

Our regular departing batch for March...Elder Perez, President,
Elder Merriam, Me, Sister Asuncion, Elder Manalili (another one
from Tacloban, but he finished here!) and Sister Umiten.  We will
miss them so very much!  There were all great missionaries!  We
love them so much!

Elder Merriam toured around the mission with his parents and
they stayed with us a few nights.  He was one of our Assistants
to the President and did a wonderful job and really kept things
organized!  It was a pleasure to meet his parents and spend
some time with them!  We are going to really miss him!!

Outing with Los Banos Sisters February 17, 2014

Here we are at the beginning of our tour of the the museum and
video presentation at the International Rice Research Institute.
President, Me, Sisters Kekauoha, Kerr, Abubo, Legaspi, Sister
Hansen...standing is Sister and Elder Smith and Elder Hansen.

Here Sister and Elder Hansen are pictured by the display of the
growth stages of the rice plant.

The sign above it...

Another area telling about rice... And that its the world's most
important staple.  Standing in front of it are Sisters Kerr,
Kekauoha, Abubo and Legaspi.

They had a big map on the floor so the Sisters posed pointing to
their homeland...Sister Kekauoha's from Hawaii and Sister Kerr
is from Canada...

Sisters Legaspi and Abubo are from different areas in the
Philippines.

I love the Riceworld sign...It's made from different parts of
the rice plant...with the rice heads hanging down!  The Heart
I'm holding was a Valentine from the Sisters. The Smith's and
Hansen's got one too. They're stuffed with goodies and valentine
notes and pictures from them!  So sweet!
