Balayan District Conference March 2013

Balayan District Conference:

We had the privilege of serving with Elder and Sister Guanzon of

the Seventy as he presided over the conference.  They were such

a wonderful couple to work with and to become acquainted with.

They are the new Mission President for a brand new mission

formed in the Philippines starting July 1, 2013.  It is the

Philippines Legaspi Mission, which was taken out of the Naga

Mission.  They will do a wonderful job! That mission will be

 blessed to have them!

Here is a bigger group at the conference.  They served us a nice

meal each day after meetings.  From the left, in the back is

President Ambao (2nd Counselor District Presidency), President

Ferrer (1st Counselor) President Cananea (President), Elder and

Sister Guanzon of the Seventy, Me, President Peterson, Sister

Reyes (wife of 2nd Counselor in Mission Presidency), Sister

Beleros (District Relief Society President), Sister Cananea, and

Brother Beleros (Executive secretary to District President).

The two in the front are both Assistant District Clerks.

This sister has a most interesting conversion story.

Her name is Sister Asia.  She is a seamstress and

has made some nice things for me.  She is a lovely

woman...very kind.  It was her birthday that day!

One more picture at the Conference.  The people in the Balayan

District are so genuinely kind and generous with their

words of compliment!  I love them!
